Isabel Lopez Sanchez, PhD

Dr Isabel Lopez Sanchez is a Principal Investigator at the Centre for Eye Research Australia and University of Melbourne. She obtained her PhD in 2014 from the University of Western Australia and has conducted postdoctoral research in the USA, Spain and Sweden. Her research focuses on mitochondrial biology and neuro-ophthalmic diseases. She is actively involved in the mitochondrial community in Australia and overseas, through her volunteer work and as a member of Advisory Boards, including the Ophthalmic Research Institute of Australia and Chiesi Group Australia. Her work is currently supported by a Mito Foundation Fellowship.
