A/Prof Monisha Esther Nongpiur is a Clinician Scientist at the Singapore Eye Research Institute and Singapore National Eye Centre. She balances both clinical and research related work in Glaucoma, and her main clinical research interest is primary angle closure glaucoma. Her research is focused on a better understanding of the clinical course, risk factors/disease mechanisms, genetics, and also to develop risk assessment models for the condition. She currently holds an academic appointment at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore as Associate Professor, Ophthalmology and Visual Science Academic Clinical Program. She is a member of the Associate Advisory Board (AAB) of the World Glaucoma Association (WGA), the WGA Education Committee, and the WGA Communication and Technology Committee.
